otherWisdom
Circles
3 times per lunar cycle
otherWisdom Circles are the pulse of and portal to otherWise—regular open gatherings where we learn, reckon, and reweave together at the edge of change. We meet online and in place to share questions, stories, and seasonal rhythms. Here, we welcome complexity, hold space for grief and grounded hope, and practice moving with generative uncertainty. Not to save the world, but to savor and stay true to it—and to each other.
Surviving
the Future
Starting January 2026
Led by author, activist, and educator Shaun Chamberlin, Surviving the Future: Conversations for Our Time curates spaces for realists about our troubled times. Exploring responses that bring hope and meaning amidst the intertwined crises unfolding as you read these words.
Good Grief
Starting September 2025
Good Grief is an ongoing offering designed to cultivate communal capacity to face, feel, and move through grief in this time of unraveling. This program holds space for grief as a relational, political, and transformative force. We invite participants into both quiet mourning and creative reorientation, recognizing grief not as something to resolve, but as something to honor, metabolize, and live alongside.
otherGardens
Coming soon
otherGardens is a gathering ground for gardeners, gleaners, foragers, and friends of the soil who are tending food, medicine, and possibility at the edge of ecological and societal collapse. We’re not here to optimize your harvest or build your brand. We’re not here to teach you how to be self-sufficient in a bunker. We’re here to compost the illusions of independence, reclaim collective nourishment, and grow toward relational sufficiency. Rooted in seasonal rhythm and hedged against overshoot, otherGardens is a cosmolocal circle for those tending land, windowsills, or memory – and for those dreaming gardens into the cracks of the concrete.
reVillagers
Coming soon
As part of reVillaging, otherWise will also offer seasonally appropriate land-based skills workshops, offered with our hyper-local collaborators. These will focus on the arts of living gently on a wounded planet, attempting to balance our human ways of being within the earth metabolism while caring through accelerating crises. As David Fleming says, “Localization sings against the storm.”
(M)otherWise
Coming Soon
(M)otherWise is a companioned learning journey for those nurturing life amid endings and beginnings. We gather not to perfect parenting, but to live urgent questions—and to share practical ways of caring without replicating patterns past their time. We honor exhaustion, wonder, and the ache of deep love in precarious times. Here, parents and caregivers find solidarity beyond small talk, swap strategies for raising resilient, relational humans, and prepare together for futures far different from the ones we inherited.
EdgeWork
Coming September 2025
Redefine and reclaim what creativity means for you without the noise of societal expectations and self-doubt. Rooted in care, lived experiences and more-than-artistic expressions, this 8-week journey will help you to rediscover and call upon the creativity that is already within you. You will reimagine creativity beyond traditional definitions, explore creativity as an act of care, and see creativity as a tool for eco-social change. No art skills are necessary. Just come with your curiosity and an open heart.
