This 6-week offering creates a space for us to explore what becomes possible when we lead with care.
Through weekly live circles, playful creative invitations, and shared reflection, we’ll slow down together and listen to the rhythms of care that live in our bodies, our communities and ancestral wisdom.
Along the way, you’ll deepen your relationship with care, as a practice of tending and reciprocity, and begin to recognize it as something that actually creates new possibilities.
During the 6-week course, you will deepen your relationship with care as caring about, caring for, caring with, and even caring against, as well as discover how care generates new creative possibilities.
edgeWork starts on October 13th, 2025, and runs through November 23rd, 2025.
In the original arc of edgeWork, we dove deep into creativity as a way of being. What we discovered during that learning journey was that care was the grounds for creativity.
We started asking ourselves:
- What happens when we start with care?
- What happens when we start with care as a creative practice?
- What happens when we start with care as how we show up together?
- What happens when we start with care as the ground for how we create and live?
This offering continues the edgeWork journey, while opening entirely new territory by beginning with a new set of questions.
It is an invitation to:
- tune into the subtle and everyday forms of care in your life;
- ask what becomes possible when care leads your creative inquiry;
- and explore how care and creativity continually shape and strengthen one another, with care sparking creativity and creativity deepening the ways we care.

How we’ll be with one another
Each week, we will gather around a shared theme. There will be:
One 90-minute live circle
Held on self-hosted video conferencing platform, we’ll share space for questions, hesitations, stories, and memories. These circles are spaces of co-inquiry, slowness, and relational presence. These will be recorded and uploaded.
Weekly Emails
These help you ground in the week’s theme. Each email will include:
- a brief framing of the theme
- a gentle grounding prompt
- a reading, audio, or visual offering
- a creative invitation
Community Platform
The shape of our weeks
Each week, we will gather around a shared theme. All live circles will be held on Saturdays from 11 am to 12:30 pm ET.
Week 1 – What Brings Us Here?
Live Circle: Saturday, November 8th, 2025
We begin by arriving with intention. What’s calling us to this space? What is our relationship to care and creativity – now, and in the past?
Week 2 – Noticing Everyday Practices of Care
Live Circle: Saturday, November 15 25th, 2025
Care is already here. This week is about sharpening our attunement to the gestures, rituals, and relational rhythms of everyday care.
Week 3 – Honoring Caring Capacity
Live Circle: Saturday, November 22nd, 2025
How do we honor our own capacity while staying in relationship? What is ours to hold and what isn’t?
Week 4 – Where Did We Learn to Care?
Live Circle: Saturday, November 29th, 2025
We look to our personal, cultural, and ancestral inheritances. Where were we shaped by care and the lack thereof? Where do we break from those patterns to create something new?
Week 5 – Care as Ground for Creation
Live Circle: Saturday, December 6th, 2025
What becomes possible when care leads our creative lives? This week, we explore how care gives rise to vision, resistance, and imagination.
Week 6 – The Care We Carry Forward
Live Circle: Saturday, December 13th, 2025
As our formal circle closes, we explore what we’re taking with us. What practices want to continue? What questions are still alive? How do we stay connected to care-led creativity in our daily lives and communities?
Is edgeWork for you?
edgeWork is for you if:
- You are craving slower, more relational ways of learning, creating and tending, and would like to build a creative practice grounded in care.
- You are noticing changes within yourself or in your surroundings, and you feel called to start anew, but in a way that is more aligned and intentional. You’re holding questions about your relationship to care and creativity, and you want to explore them in community.
- You believe, or want to believe, that care lives in the everyday. You’re seeking to attune to small gestures, practices, or patterns that nourish.
- You are learning to honor your capacity while staying in relationship. You want to discern what’s yours to hold and what needs to be set down.
- You are reflecting on where your ways of caring come from, whether family, culture and/or experience, and you want to discern which parts still serve you and which ones are ready to be reshaped into something new.
- You are drawn to creative practice as tending. You’re curious about what becomes possible when care is the ground of your making.

About the facilitator

Hi there.
Nice to see you here! I know I’ve got a macaw covering my eyes, but I promise you, I am right here. Present.
I am Nakasi – a multi-situated edgeworker who is living, learning and loving across communities, disciplines and countries. I coordinate the day-to-day movements of otherWise, grounding our operations in care and coherence. Beyond that, I co-lead the edgeWork learning arc, bridge across programs and platforms, and hold space for hard conversations with warmth, clarity, and integrity.
My own relationship with care has been shaped by the many ways I’ve both received and offered care within my family, friendships and community. And I am incredibly interested in exploring how care and creativity come together, how they intersect, and how they diverge.
I am especially committed to dismantling dominant narratives within environmentalism and reimagining ecological education as an act of solidarity, creativity, care and embodied justice.
And I love to have a good time, with good people, while making good trouble.
Invitation to join
Enrollment is open until the 30 available seats are filled. This is an intentionally small offering and spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
To join, you’ll begin by selecting a pricing tier that reflects your access to resources. After payment, you’ll receive a short reflection form with 3 prompts:
- What drew you to this space?
- What kind of presence do you hope to bring?
- What kind of support do you need to move through this experience?
This is our way of practicing mutual intention-setting from the beginning.
Pricing Tiers
edgeWork: Beginning with Care operates on a sliding scale, designed to honor different levels of access and capacity. The hope is to create an opportunity where our learning and living go hand in hand, without added financial strain that could inadvertently exclude people.
To honor this and stay true to our values, while at the same time respecting the energy, creativity, and thought that have gone into this work, we offer you 3 pricing tiers. This is an imperfect way of attempting to walk in both economies – the dominant, breaking one we’re all subsumed in, and the alternative, abundance-trusting ones we know we can create. A few equity-based scholarships will also be available.
Solidarity Tier
$330-$450
Intended for those with access to generational wealth, secure income, institutional support, and are able to pay more to sustain the work and support others.
Sustaining Tier
$225-$325
Intended for those with stable income who can afford the full cost without significant hardship. This tier reflects the actual cost of the program.
Supported Tier
$120-$220
Intended for those with limited income or financial instability.
FAQ
How is this course designed to fit into my busy life?
We completely understand. Learning and unlearning happen in tandem with life. Each of us comes into this space balancing school, parenthood, other caregiving, work commitments, or whatever else life throws our way. This experience has been designed to fit alongside our lives, allowing each of us to engage with creativity and exploration without adding more pressure.
What does participation look like in this relational learning space?
This space really is not for passive consumption. Participation here looks like presence, curiousity and care – however that looks for you. We ask for a willingness to engage with the themes and materials as these ground us in the learning and allow us to show up fully and authentically. Inspired by the principles of Brave Community, this means creating space for vulnerability, holding each other with resilient empathy, and embracing the courage to bring the discomfort, hesistations and questions we are confronted with based on the learning materials. It also means attending live sessions if you’re able to, and sharing reflections, questions, or creative responses in ways that feel right for you.
What platform is used for the live sessions?
We’ll be using a self-hosted, secure, and open-source video conferencing platform. There’s no need to download an app, as you can join directly from your browser. Links and reminders will be shared in the weekly emails. If you’re new to Jitsi, we’ll provide a short guide before the first session.
Where do we connect outside of the weekly circles?
We’ll be using Hylo, a simple community plaform for reflection, connection, and continued dialogue. This is where you can share responses to prompts, questions, creative offerings, or just connect with others.
I can't make all the live sessions. Can I still join?
Yes. While we hope you can attend most of the live circles to experience the fullness of the space, we understand that life happens. Sessions will be recorded and these will be shared with you for viewing.
